Eat your heart out, Rhonda.

It behooves me to note that as I write this, SHAM is either No. 1 or No. 2 in three different Amazon categories. Granted, they're piddling little esoteric categories like "stress management" or "health, mind and body books on cassette" or "hypnosis" (and lord knows why a hypnosis-minded individual would want to buy my book, unless he's planning to wave the glaring red-lettered cover in front of people's eyes until they zone out....) But I'm not complaining. Every little bit helps.

Gee...if only I could get something in The Wall Street Journal every day....

Do you think your new found blog presence had anything to do with this? Remember how your agent was never too thrilled with your blog.

No. It's the Journal.

Much as I'd like to view this as an ongoing phenomenon, and one that might even build further momentum, the simple fact is that--well, consider that I got over 20 emails yesterday alone in response to the piece. That is a TON of feedback for a single article, anywhere. It's just the "pull" of the Journal. And the fact that my message, if you will, is a good fit for them. I guess. Not in every respect. But in most.

Congratulations, Steve.

Well, like I say, I don't know that actual congratulations are in order--given the categories I'm leading. But thanks, Mike, anyway.

Im feeling behooved again, inasmuch as I am now No. 1 in two of those three categories. Somebody call Vitale!
