Somewhere he is happy and thriving, at least.

In a special assembly in school today, my grandson Jordan, whom I never see anymore, got the President's Award for Educational Excellence.

Seems like an apt time to re-post this (overly sentimental but accurate) tribute to him.

You had me tearing up before I even reached the end of the title. I am so sorry Jordan moved away. Of course I already knew about your little Sophia. Sounds like too much loss to me, Steve.

That's a tragically beautiful story, Steve. But be happy that your grandson is happy and apparently doing quite well. In the end that's all we can do as parents and g-parents is put them on the right road, even if the right road is a river. :)
